Physical Education

We provide Physical Education for students from years one to seven.

During term one we are focusing on preparing for the Summer Carnival in years 6  & 7. This will be held on Wednesday 21st March at two venues. Children are learning the skills required to play Cricket, Volleyball, League-Tag and Softball.

Volleyball will be played at Endeavour and all other sports will be played at Lark Hill.

Our years 1, 2 & 3 students are focusing on Fundamental Movement Skills in Physical Education sessions. They are also having a sport session on Friday mornings where they will rotate through eleven different activities each focusing on learning game skills.

Our years 4 & 5 students are participating in a Sport programme where they rotate through eight different sports, learning specific games skills, this term.

Morning Fitness runs Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday each week. Children work on developing skills as well as improving their fitness levels.

Children are required to be Sunsmart by wearing  appropriate hats and bringing drink bottles to school. Sunscreen is available in all classes and children are encouraged to apply it before playing outside. The new "Sunsmart Policy" adopted by Endeavour Schools  for 2011 and onwards requires all children and staff to wear either a Broad Brimmed, Bucket or Legionaires hat when outside for all four terms. Caps are not permitted.

Our Active After School Sports Programme involves children from  years 4 & 5 doing a Rugby Union program on Wednesday afternoons with Mr Liddle.

The year 6 & 7 group have their activities on Monday afternoons. This term they will be participating in a series of five surfing lessons as well as multi-skill sessions.

The last sporting event this term will be the Interschool Swimming Carnival being held at the Rockingham Outdoor Pool on Wednesday 4th April. This is a year 4 to 7 event and trials will be held on Friday the 23rd March.
